and here are my some of my favorites by ting. that girl turned out to be a genius at this!
a photo of all of them together:
this yarn dyeing thing is definitely going to happen again. we might even start up a little etsy shop together—since both of us are in that awkward, job-seeking-but-not-finding phase, we were thinking maybe we could sell some yarn for a bit of extra cash? we'll see!
pretties! did you guys use kool-aid, food coloring, or acid dyes?
ReplyDeletethey look very nice; can think of names for most of them already!
we used food coloring! because we felt like kool-aid was mostly reds, and we still wanted to be able to use the pots for food in the future so we didn't want acid dyes.
Deletedon't know about my friend, but I've named all of mine except the one that looks pink and brown in the pictures (it's more of a blue-gray in real life). the names are Pineapple Breeze, Pondish, Unicorn Hairs, and Copper Crocus. c:
These are gorgeous skeins! I absolutely love each of them but especially the sixth from the left which reminds me of unicorns :P
ReplyDeleteme too! in fact, I named that skein "unicorn hairs." c:
DeleteLooks great! I really want to try my hand at dying, too. It just seems like so much fun. Can't wait to see if you do some more. :)
ReplyDeleteyou totally should! it's so much fun, and you can do it with just food coloring and a microwave or an oven or a pot on a stove. or all three, as my friend and I did, haha.
DeleteI love them all especially the yellowy-orange and bluey-greens!
ReplyDeletethanks! c:
DeleteThose colors are g o r g e o u s!
ReplyDeleteLoving the way you had them posed on the white fur. It's like an 80s glamour shot xD
thanks!
Deletemy sister left all her stuff at my apartment for the couple of months before she can move into her new place, so I've been using all her neat stuff, including the lovely fur rug, hehe.
Those are so pretty! My favorite has to be the white and purple and blue skein.
ReplyDeleteit may be for sale very soon! //winkwink
